The expected weather for Electric Picnic has been revealed – and it’s not good news!
The festival is set to take place this weekend and in true festival fashion attendees will need to pack their wellies and raincoats, as experts have warned that a hurricane is due to hit Irish shores in the during the event.
Independent weather forecast provider, MeteoGroup told the Irish Sun “Hurricane Gaston is the latest hurricane to develop in the Atlantic and has reached its peak with gusts up to 85 to 90mph.
“It will eventually head north then northeastwards towards Ireland and the UK as a low pressure system, potentially disrupting our weather next week.”
According to Met Eireann, we’re supposed to have clear skies and temperatures are expected to reach 20°C from today until Thursday but things are expected to go downhill from Friday.
We’ve no doubt that festival goers will make the most of the weekend, despite the weather!
