Sharon Horgan’s Bad Sisters took the TV world by storm when it first hit our screens last year.

So, as the creator of the show, you would think that Sharon ultimately chose her favourite role for herself, however, that’s not exactly the case.

Opening up in a recent interview with The Wrap, Sharon admitted that although she loves her character Eva, she actually had a different role in mind to who she could play at first.

“All of us wanted to play Bibi,” she shared, which is portrayed by the talented Sarah Greene.

“Because she’s got an eyepatch and shoots a bow and arrow and it’s all very exciting.

“But with Eva, I was drawn to the story of the eldest sister who’s had to compromise and put other people first and whose life slipped away from her a bit, and things haven’t necessarily panned out,” she continued.

Adding: “But there’s a lot of authority and love in there.”

Most recently, Sharon has gained attention for her latest role in the new BBC series Best Interests.

The story follows a mother who sues the NHS to stop her child from dying and tackles themes such as parental terror, inequality and dad dancing.

Speaking to the Irish Times, Sharon admitted to having doubts about joining the project saying: “I was really nervous about how much this was going to f**k me up.

“We spent a lot of time in terrible pain. You have to go to some really awful places to get yourself into that mindset and stay there.

Adding: “Sometimes you come home and go, ‘What kind of a weird job is this?’”
