Shane Richie, star of new show Redwater, has said he would happily move to Ireland if the programme gets the green light for a second series.
The Eastenders spin off show featuring iconic duo Kat and Alfie is set in Dunmore East Co. Waterford, and features legendary Irish actress Fionnula Flanagan.
Shane, who plays Alfie in the series, has said that he would jump at any opportunity to come here.
“If this goes into a second series I’d think about buying a place. I would certainly look at a place near Dunmore East,” he told our sister publication, TVNow Magazine.
The actor hopes to travel and see more of the Emerald Isle over the coming months, seeing new places he’s never been before.
“If I come back I also want to do the West Coast. I’ve never been to Galway.”
