Actress Ruth Negga has once again been mistakenly described as British.
The Irish-Ethiopian actress was called British in the latest issue of the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine.
In a feature about stylists to the stars, LA stylist Karla Welch is discussed, and credited for helping lesser-known stars become known.
“This year, LA-based Karla was named Hollywood’s most powerful stylist, not least for catapulting British star Ruth Negga into the sartorial stratosphere,” the article says.
This is not the first time Ruth has been mistaken for as British, earlier this year Vogue came under fire for referring to her as British, while in February presenters of This Morning angered viewers by saying that Ruth was ‘flying the flag for British Style’.
Irish fans are always quick to point out the mistake when it’s made and highlight how proud they are of the Irish-Ethiopian star.
