A massive congratulations are in order for Emer O’Neill and her husband Séan as the pair have announced the birth of their third child.

Earlier today, the broadcaster took to Instagram to share the first photo of her baby.

“She is HERE,” Emer wrote.

“A week old today my little princess. To say we are madly in love would be an understatement.

“8lbs. 5-9-23. Thank you to everyone in Holles Street .”

Emer and Séan are already parents to son Ky and daughter Sunny Rae, so safe to say they’ll have their hands full going forward.

Friends and fans alike flocked to the comment section to wish the parents well with Kelly Fitzsimons writing: “Little cutie! Congratulations guys.”

“Congratulations,” penned Pamela Uba, followed by a heart emoji. While Aisling Kearns commented: “Ahh congrats Emer!”

Despite already having two kids, Emer previously admitted in an interview with The Irish Examiner that this time around she was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that causes severe sickness and vomiting.

“For the first month-and-a-half, I was so sick. I lost nearly two stone, and the only thing I could keep down was Coca-Cola. Eventually, I went into the emergency room on the advice of a friend and was put on fluids and prescribed medication.

“I’d never had it before with my other kids so I just thought it was bad morning sickness, even though I couldn’t hold down water.

“From projectile vomiting, too, I came across degrees of incontinence — which is embarrassing, but also something we women need to talk about more.”
