Ronan Keating has posted a touching tribute to his friend and former bandmate Stephen Gately on his anniversary yesterday. Stephen sadly passed away in 2009 while on holiday in Majorca. He was just 33-years-old.
The star took to social media to share a pic of Stephen, alongside an emotional caption where he quoted the film Hercules.
On Instagram Ronan wrote, “Hey Steo. ‘A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart’ – Zeus (Hercules) #ShootingStar. Miss ya bro.”
Fellow Boyzone band member Keith Duffy shared a tribute to the Dubliner saying, “Today it’s 7 years some days it feels much longer and other days it feels like yesterday I miss you either way everyday xxx love love love.”
He’s sadly missed.
