The eir VIP Publishing Power of Women Awards: Nominees for the New Founder Award sponsored by Lancôme

VIP Publishing is delighted to announce that the eir Power of Women Awards are back.

These awards celebrate the best and brightest female entrepreneurs in Ireland, across the worlds of fashion, technology, beauty, lifestyle, wellness and more!

The winners, decided by an expert panel and awarded at an exclusive lunch in Dublin’s Marker Hotel on November 18th, will be profiled in the December issue of VIP Magazine.

The New Founder Award sponsored by Lancôme celebrates entrepreneurs who have brought a dynamic, new business to the market in the past 18 months. Here’s a bit more information about our inspiring nominees…

Aideen Kate Murphy – True Beauty

Social media star Aideen Kate has long been one of our favourites for beauty content, always sharing gorgeous looks and snippets of the best bits on the market.

With so much knowledge behind her, it’s no surprise she decided to go out and launch her own makeup brand.

True Beauty has your beauty bag basics sorted, with a face palette for that perfect base, lashes to enhance eye looks and an array of lovely lippies and liners. Available in select pharmacies nationwide and online.

Alice Carroll – Foxes Bow Whiskey

After spending the last number of years working with wine and spirit brands Pernod Ricard and Jameson across Australia, America, Canada and France, Limerick lady Alice Carroll launched her very own liquor, Foxes Bow Whiskey.

When first launched in November 2021, the brand sold out across various off-licences for four weeks in a row and soon began exporting abroad, starting with Germany.

As Irish whiskey is said to be the fastest-growing spirit worldwide, we’ve high hopes for this brand!

Louise Cooney – 67Spritz

Cooney is another well-known social media star putting her following to good use, launching not one, but two new businesses since the pandemic.

CLOO Active is her line of fitness apparel, but her latest, 67Spritz is blowing up thanks to its exclusive placement in Dunnes Stores, and its unique USP.

There are lots of ready-to-drink canned alcoholic beverages around at the moment, but Cooney chose to go down the wine route – the spritzers (available in white and rosé) are mixed with sparkling water and clock in at only 67 calories a can, hence the name.

Pippa O’Connor – istil 38

Is there anything O’Connor can’t do? The Kildare native, who already runs the incredibly successful POC brand and UP Cosmetics, recently launched her own vodka range, istil 38 alongside former employees of Irish Distillers.

Produced in Ireland, the velvety smooth vodka comes in three variations; istil 38 Pot Still Irish Vodka, istil 38 Pot Still Pink Berries Vodka and istil 38 Pot Still Vanilla Vodka, for €36 each.

It’s available in off-licences nationwide as well as online at istil38.com

Anna Daly – Little Bliss

If the pandemic thought us anything, it’s that we absolutely love our comfort. Whether it’s working from home, out for a stroll or hanging with loved ones, we just want to be wrapped up in something soft and cosy – and here’s where Little Bliss comes into play.

The brand, brain-child of broadcaster Anna Daly, is full of jumpers and t-shirts – made with ethically sourced materials – for both adults and children.

Perfect for the wintery afternoons ahead!

Fabulous Pharmacist – Fabu

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Laura Dowling AKA The FabulousPharmacist has launched her own range of supplements, Fabu, to help keep on top of your general health and well-being all year round.

Combining the powers of science and nature, she created two specific products; Shrooms Immune and R&R Relax.

Both have a blend of botanicals, vitamins and minerals to support your body, physically and mentally, helping to boost your immune system, combat fatigue and leave you feeling your overall best. Available through fabuwellness.com

Sinead O’Brien – Vacious By Sinead

Just months before welcoming a gorgeous baby to the world, Sinead O’Brien gave life to her first fashion brand, Vacious by Sinead.

In 2021, she came out with an inclusive range of shapewear, catering to bodies of all shapes and sizes, and following the incredible success of that, added swimwear to the range in the summer months just gone.

Wanting women to feel fabulous, stylish and most importantly comfortable and supported, the range, available in sized 8-28, proved a big hit with people up and down the country.

Terrie McEvoy, Siobhan Murray and Suzanne Jackson – MANTRA Official

These three friends and powerhouses in the world of social media and business came together in 2021 to launch Mantra Official.

Their ethos is about building a timeless, capsule closet with key accessories to elevate the most simple of looks.

With fabulous footwear, including pumps, heels and boots, and gorgeous accessories like hats and sunglasses to take you through every season, these pieces are made to last with premium materials in Spain. Available online at mantraofficial.com
