Congratulations are in order for Paula MacSweeney after she welcomed her third child into the world.
Although he made his arrival just a little bit early!
She shared the good news on social media with a picture of herself and her husband Aidan with their newborn son.
“Hey there, baby Mac!” she announced.
“Our gorgeous baby boy was born earlier on today and we are so in love! He is divine! He’s named after my beloved grandad who we called Pop but others knew him as Denis MacSweeney. It would have been his birthday today! What are the odds?
“Welcome, Mac Denis Donnelly. We adore you!”
How sweet!
She quickly went on to clarify what his full name was as well as the beautiful sentimental meaning behind it.
“His name is Mac. His middle name is Denis. His surname is Donnelly,” she wrote on Instagram Stories along with a picture of her cradling her newborn in hospital. “After I had Roddy, people kept congratulating me on Rodney!”
She was delighted to add: “He’s also feeding like a dream. Straight onto the boob and he’s been there all day.”
Of course, she was inundated with congratulatory messages from her pals.
“Congratulations to the family of 5! Hope you’re doing ok,” Muireann O’Connell wrote.
“Congratulations P and A .. Welcome to the world Denis x,” Mairead Ronan added.
While Louise Cantillon commented: “Aaaw Paula!!! Massive congratulations. Welcome baby Mac xxxx.”
In response to the comments, Paula wrote: “Lads my heart is so full. Thank you all!”
