Aisling O’Loughling is set to return to TV3 as a presenter once she’s finished her maternity leave.
It was expected that the new mum would not be reprising her role as an Xposé presenter when she told reporters she would ‘probably not’ be returning however, it now appears that she will be welcomed back with open arms once she’s finished her maternity leave
Despite speculation that the blonde beauty was seeking legal advice about the show’s re-vamp, a source from TV3 has said that this won’t be necessary as they can’t wait for her to return when she’s ready to come back.
“Aisling is a valued employee at TV3 and we look forward to her returning to us from her maternity leave. Our door is open,” an insider told The Irish Sun.
“Aisling has great friends and a very good job in TV3, a job a lot of people would give their right arm for. She is on maternity leave and we will be delighted to see her when she returns.”
However, another industry source close to Aisling revealed that this is not the case and Aisling is very disappointed with her ‘demotion’ and how the whole situation was dealt with.
“Aisling was told she was off Xpose before she spoke to any reporter,” they told The Irish Sun.
“She sees what she was offered by TV3 was a demotion. Aisling had spent ten years hosting Xpose and building up the brand. And this is the thanks she gets. She never wanted this.”
“She was at home on maternity leave minding her own business when she got the call saying she was gone from Xpose. Aisling was more than ready for a change. It was the way this was handled that has her livid.”
