Hozier has announced that he will be taking some time off from touring and gigging, as he needs some downtime after a hectic two years.
The Wicklow musician has revealed that his next gig, the 2FM Christmas Ball, will be his last in Ireland in a very long time as he takes his much-required break, after touring the world for 18 months.
The Take Me To Church singer told The Breakfast Republic that he thinks it will probably “a few years” before he sings on stage again – which we have to admit being ever-so-slightly devastated about.
”It will be the last time I play in Ireland for many a couple of years,” he admitted. “We have a show in Killarney that’s sold out but it’ll be the last time I play a gig in Ireland because I’ll be taking a break for a while.”
“My tour ends in March so I have a tour in the UK and Europe after that so the Christmas Ball is the last in Ireland.”
2fm’s Xmas Ball in aid of ISPCC takes place on Wednesday December 23rd in Dublin 3Arena – limited tickets still available here.
