Niall Horan has shared a touching tribute to his close pal and former band mate Louis Tomlinson after his mum passed away at just 43 years of age.

Yesterday it was revealed that the English singer’s mum, Johannah Deakin passed away after a long battle with an ‘aggressive’ form of leukaemia on Wednesday morning.

A statement was released breaking the terrible news yesterday.

“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.

“Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.

Johannah’s partner, Dan Daekin added:

“Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children – Louis (24), Lottie (18), Félicité (16), and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy (12) and Ernest and Doris (2) – whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie.”

Niall, who would have gotten to know Johannah as he carved a career for himself with Louis and the boys when they started out on The X Factor, has shared his heartfelt condolences with his former bandmate and his family, and he described the midwife as an ‘incredible person’.

“Very sad news . Louis I love you mate and I’m / all of us are here for you all the way . Your mum was an incredible person. Thinking of you and your family love from my family to yours.”

Out thoughts are with Johannah’s family and friends at this difficult time.
