Niall Horan has expressed his love for Australia in a recent interview, and even joked about quitting his career to move there.
The singer was recently in Australia for a quick trip to perform on final of The Voice.
Speaking to Channel 7’s morning chat show Sunrise, Niall professed his love for the country. He explained that he’s spent lots of time in Oz and would love to move over full time.
“I had a really good time, I spent Australia day here and was here for the Australian Open a couple of times,” he explained.
“I’m just obsessed with this country.. does anyone want to give up their job? I’m just trying to find an excuse to move down,” he joked.
Hosts Samantha Armytage and David Koch then offer him a slot on Sunrise, adding: “come and host the show”.
Niall added that, like many young Irish people, he was about 9 school friends living in Melbourne, which gives him a personal connection to the place.
So perhaps Niall will ditch Mullingar for Melbourne, but lets hope he keeps up the music, as it’s definitely doable down under!
