Niall Horan has assured fans that One Direction will reform in the future.

The best selling boyband announced that they were taking a hiatus to embark on solo projects last year and despite their individual successes since the break, Niall Horan has confirmed that they will reform in the future.

The Mullingar native said they are all doing their own things at the moment but assured fans that they will be back, saying it would be “ridiculous” not to reform.

“At the moment we are all doing our own thing,” Niall told the Sunday People. “Everyone is just enjoying just how chilled it is.

“Harry wanted to do his movie and everyone is just chilling. I don’t think anyone needs to worry about us. We are fine. We will be back. We would be silly not to… Ridiculous.”

Niall's seen solo success with his debut single This Town.
