It all came to an end on Tuesday night!

32 Roses shared their stories, their time and their party pieces with us over the course of two nights.

But it was the New York Rose, Róisín Wiley, who was crowned the 2023 Rose of Tralee.

The 27-year-old is a VP of National Sales at a consumer marketing company.

Her parents, Eddie & Majella, are both from Limerick and emigrated to America in their twenties.

They set up in Rochester, New York where they raised their two children.

“I’m speechless. I’m so thankful, and I’m so excited to represent my class and I hope I do them all justice. Growing up as an Irish-American in New York, I’m so proud to represent Ireland in New York and to stand as a formal figure now I’m so, so honoured,” Róisín said of her win.

It was certainly an emotional year with several Roses sharing their stories, Clare Rose Aisling O’Connor recounted how she lost both of her parents within three years of each other – her dad in a shock accident in 2018 and her mother to breast cancer in 2021.

While Sydney Rose Aoife Butler explained how she chose to became a mental health nurse after learning her brother had died by suicide.

However, it wasn’t all heavy as the German Rose revealed that she loved to pole dance and the Texas Rose showed off her line dancing skills.

Until next year!
