Nadine Coyle hilariously defends her Derry accent

Nadine Coyle has defended her Derry accent after a social media video has gone viral poking fun at it.

Taking to the stage at Manchester Pride over the weekend, Nadine joked in front of the crowd saying:

“Hey don’t we get a wild rough time having a Derry accent?”

Continuing on she added: “So what if I like the beach and the city?”

This is in reference to her viral social media video which shows Nadine walking on the beach and talking about whether she prefers the beach or the city.

In the clip she says:

“I’d never really thought of myself as a beach girl. I may have thought of myself as a city girl but I am, I am both.”

“But this to me there is just something so special about living so near to a beach and having the water nearby it is amazing”

Nadine shot to fame back in 2002 when she entered talent show: Popstars: The Rivals. From there she helped form the girlband Girls Aloud and they enjoyed a hugely successful career, splinting ways in 2013.
