Nadia Forde lands thrilling new political series

What’s this? Oh nothing, just the Irish smashing it in the acting world is all!

Yes, Dublin actress Nadia Forde has landed a new role and it’s an exciting one for that matter.

According to Deadline,  Nadia has joined the cast of a brand new Finnish political series Conflict.

“The story follows an unknown military unit as it invades a peaceful seaside town in Finland, with all residents taken hostage, including Annika Berg, a Finnish army soldier,” the publication reports.

“In seconds, her military exercise turns into a real crisis, with true casualties. No one knows if this is an isolated incident or the first step towards a global conflict.”

Nadia will play the role of Claire Belfort, a daughter of a high-profile American family who gets caught up in the conflict.

Other cast includes Peter Franzén (Vikings) and Sara Soulié (The Man Who Died).

The six-part series is currently shooting in Helsinki and is expected to premiere sometime next year.

Nadia took to Instagram to announce the exciting news, where she was flooded with messages wishing her well.

“Truly deserved,” wrote one follower.

“Congrats Nadia,” penned Grainne Seoige.

While both Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian commended: “YES, YES, YES.”
