Muireann O’Connell is a busy woman!
With her early starts to host Ireland AM, we’re sure that she’s excited to relax over the Christmas holidays.
And she tells VIP Magazine that she has “not a thing planned”.
“My sister is coming home from Australia with her family. So really looking forward to seeing her because it will be the first time she’s been home in a while,” she tells us.
“She was home during COVID, I think my dad was alive, but this is her first-time home for Christmas since that. So really looking forward to having her.”
She went on to say: “Her kids are home, so we are probably just going to spend as much time together. I have friends home from New Zealand as well with their brand-new baby. So that’s where my concentration is this Christmas.”
How sweet!
We caught up with Muireann earlier this year, asking her how she unwinds after Ireland AM.
“I like to unwind by trying to make exercise a part of my every single day, so I treat it like a meeting. It just does so much for the head, that’s one thing that I notice,” she explains.
“I do not have children, and that is a job on top of your job because we all know that most people can’t have a full-time job now, it’s very hard for people, if they wish to be a stay-at-home parent, that you just can’t afford it these days.
“So, I am very lucky that I do have a pile of time, that’s great that I can decide what I want to do with it when I’m not working, so I’m all good, I’m good for winding down. I spend a lot of time, I do love my reading, I try to get a bit of exercise every single day and of course, I love my stories on TV.”
