Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander might be one of Hollywood’s most famous couples, but that doesn’t mean they love the limelight.
In fact, the pair are notoriously private when it comes to their relationship. However, fans have caught a rare glimpse of the couple together, as Michael and Alicia stepped out for the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.
The couple are attending the iconic event as Alicia newest film, Firebrand premiered at the star-studded French festival.
The couple donned Louis Vuitton for the screening, as Alicia is one of the brands ambassadors.
Alicia wore a divine pink empire gown, with silver embroidery, which she paired with silver jewellery and a pinned back hairstyle.
Meanwhile, Michael opted for a sleek black suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and black bowtie.
They are definitely strong contenders for best dressed this year!
Much like Alicia is a strong contender for a best performance award, as her work in Firebrand has been praised by critics. In fact, the Swedish star received an eight-minute standing ovation from the crowd, which included world renounced film critics, and stars like Michelle Yeoh and Marion Cotillard.
Firebrand is a period-drama following the ever popular story of Henry VIII, focusing on his sixth wife Catherine Parr, played by Alicia.

The pair first met in 2016 on the set of heartbreaking drama, The Light Between Oceans and went on to marry in Ibiza back in 2017. They welcomed their first child, a son, in 2021.
Since then, the couple have been living in Lisbon, Portugal and in a rare interview Alicia spoke about how much they love it there.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Alicia spoke about living in Lisbon during the pandemic; “The wonderful thing for me is being able to stop working and being at home with my husband and making sure my family is good.”
The A-list couple will be working together for the first time in seven years for the upcoming film, Hope.
The Korean project will be directed by Na Hong-Jin, of The Wailing fame, and will see the couple star along side Squid Games star HoYeon Jung.
