Melanie Murphy tied the knot in front of her friends and family two years after her legal ceremony and she has shared some gorgeous pictures from the day.
Sharing a selection of pictures from the day the author wrote on Instagram, “10/10 would recommend having your actual wedding two years after officially getting married in a registry office … really takes the pressure off!
“We had the best weekend ever, despite the rain (and the fact that we were juggling the toddler-we-didn’t-expect-to-have-there-on-the-big-day with all of the celebrations! Literally had to strip naked to feed my son because the bodice of my dress was so stiff haha bought the yoke before I was even pregnant!) … it was only so wonderful because the people in our lives are so wonderful AND because the staff at @ballybeghouseare very much on top of their shit! Bravo, team Ballybeg!
“A couple of years ago our wedding was cancelled as the first lockdown was announced literally the week before it was due to go ahead and when the initial shock wore off I realised that a wedding is simply like a cherry on top of a cake … the cake, that’s the marriage! I stand by those words. Cherries are fucking delicious. Over the moon that we finally got to turn our dream day into a reality! Because the main thing we were excited about when we got engaged was the idea of standing up and saying vows infront of all the people we care about … also, bringing lots of the people we love together in one place! Because there’s nothing better than seeing loved ones all dolled up and smiling 🥰

She shared this sweet picture with her dad saying, “My da is such a messer!”
Sharing some first looks at her dress on Instagram at the weekend, she wrote. “What a day & What a NIGHT! Back from dancing with so many of my favourite humans and my face is in agony from smiling…I am so blessed with the people in my life. Especially Thomas. I’d marry him a million times over.
“Will share lots of pics and vids and all the rest! Just trying to make the most of this as we’ve waited two years for it. It’s been better than we even imagined!” she wrote.
Melanie’s past year has been busy but very exciting, with herself and her family recently moving into a new house, welcoming her son in 2020 and now, celebrating her wedding for the second time.
