Meet the judges for the 2022 eir VIP Publishing Power of Women Awards

VIP Publishing is delighted to announce that the eir Power of Women Awards are back.

These awards celebrate the best and brightest female entrepreneurs in Ireland, across the worlds of fashion, technology, beauty, lifestyle, wellness and more!

The winners, decided by an expert panel and awarded at an exclusive lunch in Dublin’s Marker Hotel on November 18th, will be profiled in the December issue of VIP Magazine.

The team has spent months whittling down contenders to nine category shortlists – an onerous task! – and now they will be judged by an expert industry panel. Let’s meet them…

HEAD JUDGES

Vicki Notaro – MD, VIP Publishing

Vicki Notaro

The MD of VIP Publishing and editor-in-chief of STELLAR Magazine, Vicki has worked in publishing magazines for 15 years.

In that time, she’s encountered, interviewed and admired countless Irish female entrepreneurs, which led to her conceiving of this awards during the lockdown phase of the pandemic.

After an incredibly successful first year in 2021, despite restrictions on attendance, she is thrilled to be back bigger and better for 2022 with a fantastic title partner and a host of wonderful sponsors.

Bianca Luykx – Editor, VIP Magazine

Bianca Luykx

With over two decades in print media under her belt, Bianca has spent four years at the helm of VIP Magazine, Ireland’s most popular glossy magazine.

She has an avid interest in lifestyle and parenting journalism, and interviewing is her speciality.

Throughout her career, she has met some of the world’s most eminent businesspeople and applied this expertise to her judging.

Susan Brady – eir’s Managing Director of Consumer and Small Business

Susan is eir’s Managing Director of Consumer and Small Business since 2018. She has held a variety of senior management roles since joining eir in 2010. Prior to joining eir Susan held a number of commercial and marketing management positions in Vodafone Ireland over a 12-year period.

The team identifies new opportunities and also source, generate and produce content for our TV offerings.

Having successfully launched eir TV in partnership with Apple TV, and the award-winning GoMo mobile network, Ireland’s fastest growing mobile provider, Susan and the CSB team continue to focus on growing eir’s Gigabit Fibre base nationwide and positioning eir as the best value provider of Fibre Broadband bundles in Ireland.

Jo O Donovan – eir’s Director of Small Business

The Director of Small Business at eir, Jo is a highly motivated and committed award-winning Commercial Director with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering results through people.

A data-driven strategist with a unique skillset gained from leadership positions across analytical and commercial roles in the Telecommunication and Education sectors in Ireland.

The eir Digital and Tech Award: The VIP Publishing group head of digital has recently joined the company after five years working on a high-profile Irish women’s website. This experience means she has an integral knowledge of what makes Irish people tick, and click! Thus she’s perfectly positioned to help judge the Digital & Tech category.

Wendy Oke

The eir Digital and Tech Award: Last year’s inaugural Technology Award winner Wendy is the founder of TeachKloud, a cloud-based management and compliance platform for preschools and further education colleges. It’s been dubbed the “Netflix of children’s learning.”

Alexis Moore

The Sustainability Award sponsored by Alfa Romeo: Alexis is Head of Brands for Fiat, Jeep and Alfa Romeo for Gowan Auto, an Irish family-owned company that acts as the exclusive importer and distributor in Ireland for 8 well-known vehicle brands from one of the world’s largest vehicle manufacturers; Stellantis, who are at the forefront of research and development in hybrid and electric vehicles.

Known for dressing some of the country’s most high-profile stars and models, she has a special interest in sustainability and has helped to judge that brand-new category.

Ailbhe Keane

The Lifestyle Award sponsored by Meta: Along with her sister Izzy, Ailbhe founded Izzy Wheels. She’s grown it from the kitchen table into a global brand shipping to over 60 countries, working with 100 world-famous artists and designers, and collaborating with world-renowned brands including Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Barbie, and Hello Kitty.

Roisin Tierney Crowe

The New Founder Award sponsored by Lancôme: The Head Of Communications for L’Oreal Luxe and Consumer, Roisin represents some of the world’s best-known beauty brands, including our official beauty partner of Power of Women, Lancôme.

The Fashion Retail Award sponsored by Lindt: The winner of this year’s VIP Style Award for Favourite Irish Fashion Designer, former personal shopper Sinead has developed a line of high-end basics that form the basis for a luxe capsule wardrobe.

Joscelin McCourt

The Beauty Industry Award sponsored by Great Lengths: CEO of hair extension brand Great Lengths UK & Ireland, Joscelin has helped to develop the business over recent years by applying her wealth of industry knowledge and experience which filters from an exciting and varied 20-year career.

Pamela Laird

Pamela Laird

The Beauty Industry Award sponsored by Great Lengths: Last year’s Beauty Industry Award winner has her own brand, MoxiLoves, and is also a well-known nail technician and beauty expert. She appeared on BBC’s The Apprentice in 2019.

Linda Nolan

The Cosmetics & Skin Care Award sponsored by Boots Ireland: Boots Ireland appointed Linda as Head of Marketing in May of 2021 where she joined the Irish Leadership Team, supporting its pharmacy-led health and beauty retail operations nationwide. Linda is responsible for all marketing operations in the Republic of Ireland, overseeing a team that helps deliver a multi-channel marketing programme responding to the ever-shifting consumer, retail and pharmacy dynamics.

The Public Relations Award sponsored by Malfy Gin and The Hair Care Award sponsored by Dyson: Ireland’s most well-known beauty writer and broadcaster, Triona has been at the forefront of what’s new in the beauty industry for more than a decade.

The Wellness Award sponsored by AYA: Clodagh is the Brand Manager at Uniphar group, representing AYA supplements. With over 10 years experience, Clodagh is a versatile and passionate marketing and PR expert.
