Footballer Tom Parsons has said ‘I do’ to his longterm girlfriend Carol over the weekend.
The couple tied the knot in front of family and friends, including teammates Lee Keegan and Aidan O’Shea.
The Mayo player’s GAA club, Charlestown Sarsfields, took to social media to congratulate the pair.
Tom sported a deep blue suit while Carol opted for a beautiful figure-hugging dress with beaded details throughout.
The football star recently opened up about how important the support from Carol has been for his career.
“It’s hugely, hugely difficult on Carol and in fairness, she has massive patience and massive support and I think at this level, GAA players, with the professional environment, do need a really strong support network around them,” he previously told The Examiner.
“I can tell you that if their partners aren’t invested in it, then it ain’t going to work. I’m blessed that Carol is invested in it and has the patience of a saint and supports me with all this time travelling and training and games and so forth. Let me tell you this season has been a real test of character.”
