If you’re missing the gritty drama Love/Hate you’ll be happy to know that the team behind the show are working on a new crime drama.

Spiral Pictures’ Stuart Carolan (writer-executive producer), Suzanne McAuley (executive producer) and David Caffrey (director) have teamed up with bestselling author Jo Spain for the new series Taken Down.

Lynn Rafferty plays Detective Jen Rooney, whose latest case sees her investigating the death of a young Nigerian migrant close to a Direct Provision Centre. Her investigation brings us into a twilight world of the new Ireland where slum landlords and criminals prey on the vulnerable.
