Love Island fans devastated as final Irish contestant Matthew is dumped

Last night’s Love Island saw yet again another brutal dumping from the villa. Packing their bags this time around was Irishman Matthew MacNabb.

After new girl Priya made her decision to couple up with bombshell Brett, leaving Matt teary-eyed at the end of his Love Island journey.

Speaking after leaving the villa, Matt says that he has no regrets about his time spent in there and is leaving with only fond memories.

Ultimately, the outstanding emotion I get is that I’m proud. I feel proud of the journey I went on and I stayed true to myself. I met some amazing people there that I’ll be friends with for life. I feel very positive about the whole situation, I’m happy.”

Going on to say he has no regrets, even about that awkward Kaz situation Matthew added:

I’m a no regrets type of guy. You learn from what you go through and I’m very proud of myself and how I’ve acted and how I’ve treated people. I think the course of action I took led me to where I am now and I’m happy with where I am.”

However, although Matt himself is filled with nothing but good vibes, not everyone feels the same way, as fans of the show took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Matthew’s dumping.

Love Island continues tonight on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player at 9pm.
