“It’s great to be busy”: Louise Cooney revelling in Christmas rush with her brands

Louise Cooney

Louise Cooney is one of Ireland’s leading influencers but she admits that she never planned for it to be that way.

When we catch up with the Limerick woman on the eir VIP Publishing Power of Women red carpet, she is as bubbly as ever.

Despite the fact she has never been busier. She confesses that she has been run off her feet this festive season. And we’re only in November.

“I’m really good, really busy,” she laughs.

“This month is hectic in the run-up to Christmas but it’s great to be busy. Every night before I go to bed I have to do a list in my head, 67Spritz, Cloo, do I have all my content done? Then have I spent time with my family and friends? Have I gone to the gym? It’s a lot.”

Louise now runs two businesses, a fitness wear brand named Cloo and a wine spritzer line aptly called 67Spritz.

Was this her master plan all along when she started blogging back during her college days? She shakes her head at the notion.

“I never planned to be an influencer, it kind of just happened. When it came to business, as soon as this line of work, I was super interested in it.

“I did a course a few years ago, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do at the time. I guess lockdown gave me the time to figure it out, these are two passion projects. Two very different things that I think align, I’m all about balance and enjoying yourself and being active and feeling your best. I have a mix of the two in both.”

We’re hoping she’ll have a second to take a breather for herself but she tells us that she has just opened a new pop-up shop on Wicklow Street with Sinead Keary, Sarah Keary and Crystals and Co.

“That’s open all of November and December. I’m very busy with that.”

It’s all go in chez-Cooney!
