For so many people, the last two years has totally derailed lives, plans and even careers. DWTS judge, Loraine Barry opened up about how devastated she was when the show cancelled in 2021, and that it felt like her “world collapsed” without it.

As the show has made it’s big return to our screens this January, Loraine said after last weekend’s show; “Not having Dancing with the Stars last year was devastating. My world collapsed.”

Continuing she shared how it impacted her career in multiple ways; “All the competitions I adjudicate on, all my teaching, it all stopped.”

“I felt desperately sorry for all the competing couples, our own professionals, because it was all our livelihoods.”

Finally, she shared how delighted she is to see the show return; “I was praying Dancing With The Stars would come back this year because the whole country needs it in those months, January, February and March, when everyone needs a pick up.”

We couldn’t agree with her more! The show had to end early back in 2020 with rising Covid cases across the country, and then was completely cancelled in 2021 so, we are so happy to have it back on our screens.

This year’s line-up of contestants is also fantastic and this Sunday will be the first week we see all 12 of them perform on the same night, and the first couple will be eliminated.
