Like thousands of people up and down the country, Lauren Arthurs has decided to officially postpone her wedding until 2021.
The bride-to-be was due to marry her long-term love John O’Flynn this November, but with so much uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, they decided to push their nuptials back by twelve months.
Taking to social media, Lauren asked, “What’s another year when we have forever?”
“With so many question marks hanging over this year and especially coming into winter, we decided we wanted to enjoy our special day with everyone we love and with no cloud of uncertainty lingering over us,” she said.
“Although many weddings will go ahead this year, we didn’t feel it was right for us. So, roll on November 2021 where we can hug and dance and party all night long!”
The happy couple announced their engagement in August 2019, after John got down on one knee during a romantic break in Italy.
Sharing a gorgeous snap of the proposal, she said, “Yes, from the bottom of my heart.
“13 years together and here’s to forever my childhood sweetheart.”
We wish them a very happy future together.
