At the end of 2025, Ryan Tubridy announced that he would be leaving Virgin Radio in the UK.

This meant that he would also be leaving Q102 as his show was also simultaneously aired on the Dublin radio station.

Kathryn Thomas joined the station at the start of 2025, stepping into the Breakfast Show slot.

And now we have another fresh face added to the line up.

Much loved broadcaster Laura Woods is set to take the helm of a brand-new afternoon show, The Home Stretch with Laura Woods, launching on Dublin’s Q102 on Monday, 9th February.

Each weekday from 2pm to 6.20pm, Laura will keep Dublin moving with music, laughs, conversation, and everything listeners need to brighten their day.

Laura’s new show forms part of the station’s refreshed schedule: the lineup kicks off at 7am with The Morning Show with Kathryn Thomas, followed by The 10 to 2 Show with Liam Coburn.

Laura will then take listeners through the afternoon before handing over to Dublin Today with Elizabeth Hearst from 6.20pm to 7pm, with Feel Good Evenings with Stephen Daly running from 7pm to midnight.

Speaking about her new afternoon show, Laura said: “I am thrilled to join Dublin’s Q102 and bring The Home Stretch with Laura Woods to life for Dublin listeners.

“The journey home is such an important part of the day, and I love the idea of helping people unwind, enjoy great music, and finish their day on a high. The station’s focus on authenticity, family, and community really resonates with me, and I can’t wait to share laughs, stories, and great music with Dubliners on their way home.”

We can’t wait to tune in.
