Laura Woods was thankfully left unhurt after taking a very sore tumble during an ice skating session for live tv.
The tv host was filming a segment for Sunday AM in Dundrum on Ice, before falling on the slippery surface and injuring herself.
The TV3 cameramen missed the embarrassing fall as they were getting into focus at the time, but Laura’s co-presenters Ivan Yates and Anna Daly couldn’t help but see the funny side, later joking that “no children or animals harmed in the recording.”
However, Ivan did admit that Laura was hurt after the trip, and she even had to go to hospital to get checked out.
“Sad to say Laura ended up in Vincent’s. She broke a bone in her bottom and had to be taken away,” he said.
But according to the Irish Independent, all is okay for the host. “There were no bones broken. I had a good cushion so I was alright. There was a lot of flesh there,” she laughed.
