Laura Whitmore has paid tribute to her late friend and co-worker Caroline Flack, in a beautiful post commemorating the third anniversary of her death.
Laura took to her Instagram stories today posting a photo of herself and Caroline, captioning it: “still always expect to see you on a night out. Will never get around not seeing you again.”
Caroline Flack tragically passed away on February 15th 2020 at the age of 40, the reality TV presenter and Love Island host died by suicide.
Laura has been vocal about Caroline’s death as well as the importance of mental health aid.
Laura stepped into her pal’s shoes when she took over hosting duties of ITV reality dating show Love Island.
The Irish presenter hosted three series of Love Island as well as its weekly spin-off Aftersun before hanging up her hat after the 2022 Summer series.
The Love Island Instagram account has also taken to its stories posting a picture of Caroline captioned: “Caroline. Always in our hearts”.
Olly Murs also took to Instagram with a black and white picture of the pair and a heartbreaking caption: “Hardest day of the year. 3 years of pain that never goes away but that smile and laughter I can still see and hear everyday! Miss ya Caz”.
The comments were flooded with notes of love and support as well as heart emojis from friends and fans alike as they come together to celebrate Caroline three years after her death.
