Last month it was annouced that the hit show, 2:22: A Ghost Story would be making its way across the pond from the West End stage to our very own 3Olympia.

And after previous iconic casting announcements from the London show with the likes of Lily Allen, Cheryl Cole and our very own Laura Whitmore, the question on everyone’s mind was who would be leading the Irish show?

Well, ask no more as we finally have our cast!

Shona McGarty, Jay McGuiness, Colin O’Donoghue and Laura Whitmore will all be taking to the stage later this year for the show’s debut Irish performances.

Yes, Laura’s back, but this time in a new role…

Shona will play Jenny, while Jay, who is currently on the UK tour in 2:22: A Ghost Story, will play Ben.

That leaves Colin for the role of Sam and Laura who previously played Jenny will now be stepping into the part of Lauren.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the story, the official synopsis of the play reads: “Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben.

“Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they’re going to stay up… until 2:22… and then they’ll know.”

Taking to Instagram, Laura announced the news to her fans when she wrote: “VERY excited to be back! And taking this show from my West End debut to Dublin for its Irish Debut.”

The show will open on 21 June 2024 with performances until 11 August 2024 – for a strictly limited run only.

Ticket prices start from €26.50 (including booking fee and restoration levy) and are available to purchase from Ticketmaster Ireland.
