Late Late teases format shakeup as chat show returns

It looks like the audience will have a much more active roll in Patrick Kielty’s Late Late Show!

The show will return on September 15th with a brand new host at the helm.

Rumours had swirled that RTÉ was looking to give the show a makeover when it returns in the autumn and it looks like that is underway!

The application to be a guest on the show has opened and it looks like it has given us a hint of what to expect.

Applicants must answer 31 questions to be in with a chance of getting the tickets!

Most of them are innocuous questions like your name and age, but as the list goes on there are some very interesting queries.

One question asks applicants if they have any “funny/interesting/extraordinary stories” that they would be “be happy to contribute on air”.

So it looks like Patrick is getting the audience involved, much like Graham Norton’s chat show in the UK.

Applicants are asked who their dream guest is and who is their Irish hero. One of the final questions asks if there is any “special event” that you want to celebrate on the show!

If you want to apply to be an audience member you can fill out the form. The only requirement is that you be over the age of 18!
