
Kieran Cuddihy stepped away from his Virgin Media show The Tonight Show, after he was announced as the new host of RTÉ Radio 1’s Liveline.
A full-time replacement for Kieran had not been confirmed since his departure.
Shane Coleman had been fronting the show as a temporary host for the past couple of months.
And now a permenant replacement has been confirmed.

Shane will continue hosting the show full-time, which is just brilliant news. He also hosts The Hard Shoulder on Newstalk.
Sharing the news, he commented: “I’ve really enjoyed hosting The Tonight Show over the past while, so I’m delighted to be taking it on full-time.
“It’s a hugely important space for discussion and debate, and it plays a big role in how we talk about the issues that matter.

Head of News at Virgin Media Television, Ruari Carroll, said: “Shane has a deep understanding of current affairs and has already made a significant impact during his time as guest presenter of The Tonight Show.”
The Tonight Show airs on Virgin Media One at 10pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
