Niall Horan took home the prestigious prize of Best New Artist at the American Music Awards.
The singer also performed his hit song Slow Hands on the night.
He was introduced by singers Kat Graham and Kelly Rowland.
But fans couldn’t help but notice that Kelly got his name very wrong.
You may think that Niall Horan is a simple name to say, but perhaps it’s not as common in the US.

“Neil Harean”? After fans kicked off on social media, Kelly took to Instagram to apologise.

Niall, as friendly as ever, sent a very sweet reply.
“Hahahahah I love ya kelly, don’t you worry. I’ve heard them all,” he said.
We can’t help but wonder what Kelly would have said if she had to pronounce one of the REALLY Irish names, like Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh or Aengus MacGrianna!
