Keith Duffy thanks followers for support after his father’s passing

Keith Duffy has given followers an update after the death of his beloved father.

The singer shared a heartfelt tribute to his late father along with an emotional update on how he’s dealing with the loss alongside a picture of himself on a refreshing hike on Instagram, he wrote;

“Good evening, to you all who have absolutely blown me away with your love and support in the last couple of weeks through a time when I honestly thought I was losing my mind, My Daddy or “Charlo” as I nicknamed him, was supposed to be here forever but unfortunately that was just a dream.

“Words just can’t explain my love for my Daddy, He was a warrior through his illness and today I tried to find myself again by taking on a massive challenge as I’ve literally been lost and broken hearted, Well on a freezing cold mountain top I felt warm and loved I felt he carried me up and hugged me at the top it was surreal and emotional but Calm and beautiful.

“I’m so very sad but I’ve had a day that leads to a better day tomorrow. Again thank you all. And thank you so much to my Companion today thank you for your patience and Words of inspiration and support.”

The star shared the sad news to social media alongside an emotional tribute to his late father last week; “Séan Duffy, 1945 – 2022.”

“Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are to announce the passing of our father/grandfather Séan. The most courageous and brave warrior we’ve ever known and probably will ever know.”

“We already miss him so much,” he added.

Many famous faces and friends were quick to share their condolences with the family, as Robbie Keane commented; “So sorry pal thinking of you and the family.”

Fellow Boyzone star, Ronan Keating said; “Sending all our love” as did his daughter Missy; “Sending love to all the family so sorry to hear.”

Glenda Gilson said; “And what a gentleman. RIP Sean. Thinking of you all and sending you lots of love” and Brian McFadden shared; “What a fighter! What a man!”

We are sending our deepest sympathies to Keith and his family at this sad time.
