Dolores O’Riordan appeared in court today following her ‘air rage’ incident in 2014, and while she has managed to escape jail time, must pay a fine of €6,000.
The Cranberries star pleaded guilty to an attack in Shannon Airport, which saw her physically assaulting and spitting at Gardai in November 2014.
During sentencing, the judge took Dolores’ history of mental illness as well as the fact she had no previous conviction into consideration.
Instead of a prison sentence, Dolores was asked to make a sizeable contribution to the court’s poor box.
Outside the court, Dolores said, “I’m glad it’s over and i want to thank the doctors who helped me to get back my health mentally.
“I’m feeling very good today, very positive about this upcoming year. I’m going to go back to work.”
