A massive congratulations is in order as Joe Brolly has married his long-time love Laurita Blewitt.
According to the Independent, Joe and Laurita tied the knot in Co. Mayo this weekend. Opting for a small intimate ceremony with only 100 guests.
The newlyweds said “I do” in Mayo’s The Ice House hotel.
The bride looked stunning in a white dress with lace sleeves, while the groom opted for a light black suit, with matching waistcoat and gold tie.
They exchanged vows on the banks of the river Moy.
Laurita, from Mayo is co-host of Ireland’s favourite podcast, The Tommy and Hector Podcast, with comedians Tommy Tiernan and Hector O’ hEochagain. She is a cousin of US President, Joe Biden.
Joe and Laurita have been dating for a number of years before getting engaged last year. Speaking about the upcoming nuptiuals A close friend said:
“He and Laurita are a great couple, and very happy together. They are getting married in her native Mayo and it should be a great weekend. All their close friends in the GAA and showbiz world are going.”
It seems however the US President, Joe Biden won’t be in attendance himself, but he plans to send the couple a good luck message all the way from the White House.
Laurita is third cousin with the president, regularly joining him for Irish-American celebrations and visits. Most recently both she and Joe joined the president and the taoiseach in the White House for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
