Breakfast Republic presenter Jennifer Maguire has revealed she was once left red faced when only a handful of people turned up to what was supposed to be a glitzy nightclub appearance.
The radio star has revealed she still got paid for the cringeworthy gig, even though only a handful of people turned up on the night.
“I did a club appearance a couple of years ago down at a club in Limerick and I got a couple of hundred euro for doing it,” she admitted.
“But it was kind of embarrassing because nobody turned up. I think there were five people on the dance floor.”
However, despite only a handful of people turning up to the celeb appearance, the 2fm host has since laughed off the incident.
“I was trying to earn my money by dancing like mad and going, ‘Just stay, it’s gonna be mad craic’ to people but they didn’t stay,” she told the Herald.
“They still paid me even though no one came.”
