Jamie Dornan has revealed that he’s nothing like his Fifty Shades alter ego Christian Grey – especially when it comes to his sexual preferences!
The 34-year-old is gearing up for the release of the highly anticipated second installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker, and as he prepares for the world to see his depiction of sadistic, troubled, billionaire Christian Gray, for the second time, he wants to assure his fans that he is nothing like his on-screen alter-ego – particularly in the bedroom!
“I’d never in a million years have a red room.” he told Cosmopolitan US. “I learned from doing the research for the films that it’s just so far from what works for me.”
Speaking about the differences between the first and second film, Jamie says that Christian is less rigid and more open to compromise.
“Christian’s more open – more willing to compromise for the woman he loves.” he said. “He’s still stubborn, but Ana make him a better person.
“Also: shower sex. More than once. Doing a sex scene is always strange, but especially if you start it clothed in the shower.”
When asked what advice he’d give Christian, The Fall actor said he’d tell him to relax and not be so serious.
“Loosen up a bit! Like, relax. Get some guy friends.” he said.
“He’s obviously been through some horrific things in his youth that have coloured who he is today, but I think he needs to let his hair down a little bit.”
Fifty Shades Darker is set for release on Friday, February 10th.
