It seems Jamie Dornan had some practise shooting risqué scenes before taking on the role of Christian Grey, as he starred in a barely-there Abercrombie & Fitch campaign back in 2002.
The recently re-surfaced photos have been getting a lot of attention since fellow Abercrombie & Fitch model, Malin Akerman spoke about working with the Irish actor on the campaign during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
“I don’t really know what we were selling,” she said. “We got to set and after two shots, the clothes came off. [The photographer] didn’t want any clothes on us.”
The photos show Jamie posing nude alongside Milan and other models – and he looks a far cry from the Mr.Grey we know and love today!
Speaking about his modelling career in the past, Jamie admitted he never felt fully comfortable getting photographed, but the money was so good that he couldn’t say no.
“I’ve never felt massively satisfied from standing there while someone takes my photograph,” he told The Evening Standard. “It’s never given me a thrill, but it would take a very foolish man to turn down the stuff that was offered to me.
“You’re in your twenties, and people are going to give you a silly amount of money to lean against a wall with your head down. F**k me, you’ve got to do it.”
