Last weekend was a big one for US pop star Lady Gaga. She put on a stellar performance at the Super Bowl half time show, and also announced that she’s going on a world tour with her Joanne album.

As Gaga’s squad of ‘Little Monsters’ revelled in delight at this news, Irish fans were quick to realise that there were no Irish dates on her European tour schedule.

The Perfect Illusion singer has performed here to sold-out crowds numerous times, and lovers of the star were going gaga about her choice not to put on a show here this time.

Performing gigs in London, Manchester and Birmingham, a number of Little Monsters decided to start a campaign to convince her to play on our shores. They’ve set up a petition and urged as many as possible to sign.

“The decision of Lady Gaga to NOT bring her new world tour to Ireland has enraged the Irish Monster community significantly.

“This petition seeks to deal with the HURT, ANGER and UPSET caused to the Monster community by the decision.

“Dublin City has hosted MULTIPLE SOLD OUT Gaga Shows on her various world tours.

“This petition calls on @LadyGaga to BRING HER NEW TOUR TO IRELAND,” they wrote.

We’re sensing a Bad Romance brewing….eh?
