Hollywood stars descend on Ireland to film huge Netflix show

Ireland really is the new Hollywood!

When isn’t there some really cool film or show being made right here on our shores?

It was previously reported that Netflix’s massive series, Wednesday would be filming season two here in Ireland.

Deadline reported that the second season will be filmed in an undisclosed location here in Ireland.

The first season was filmed in Romanian back in 2021 and it was reported that the show began work here in April.

And the cast is seriously star-studded.

Of course, Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday will be returning alongside Catherine Zeta Jones.

But the show has added even more incredible stars to the second season, so keep your eyes peeled for the Hollywood stars wandering around Ireland.

Netflix confirmed that The Big Lebowski star Steve Buscemi and Doctor Who’s Billie Piper will be joining the main cast.

As for guest stars, we’ll have the likes of Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd, Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley, Westworld’s Thandiwe Newton, The Twelve’s Frances O’Connor and The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment.

Other actors joining the series include Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill, Lord of Misrule), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Handmaid’s Tale), Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime, Park Avenue) Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream) and Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars).

Wednesday is the Most Popular English TV series on Netflix with 252.10 Million S1 views. The series spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries.

So keep a look out for these huge stars!
