Martin King will be swapping his evenings for early mornings as he has just been announced as the brand-new Ireland AM presenter.
Yes, he will be bidding farewell to The Six O’Clock in the latest Virgin Media shake-up.
But he isn’t the only person joining the Ireland AM team.
After stepping in for Muireann O’Connell earlier this year, Katja Mia will also be joining the team full-time as a reporter.
Don’t worry, Muireann and Tommy will be staying firmly where they are, as Martin and Katja will be joining Elaine Crowley on the couch from Friday to Sunday.
The new trio will be in place from November 11th.
Martin shared a picture of The Six O’Clock Show team writing: “This is some of the wonderful team I’ve got to work with on @sixoclockshow over the last number of years.
“Brilliant, brilliant professionals who help to make TV magic every evening. I will miss you all so much. You’re not just colleagues you are friends. Thank you so much for being so amazing. Keep doing what you do. I’ll be watching…Martin.”
And don’t worry they already have a presenter stepping in for Martin King alongside Karen Koster immediately.
