Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has just been confirmed for the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.
The Dubliner can’t wait to put his skates on ahead of it’s return just after Christmas, revealing he’s really looking forward to a new challenge.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine this morning, he said, “I’m very excited. I’ve already been practising out in the back garden on my roller blades and my mammy says I’m a one-man Torvill and Dean.”

Brian will be up against the likes of James Jordan and Gemma Collins, who’ll be competing to lift the coveted trophy in January 2019.
While Brian busts a move on the ice, it’s rumoured his former bandmates will be working on some performances of their own.
Earlier this month it was reported that Westlife would be getting back together, with an apparent gig in Croke Park on the cards.
The stadium which holds a whopping 82,300 people was the location for their farewell tour in 2012.
The four members have all kept quiet about the news, with Nicky Byrne even avoiding questions on his own radio show.
