Idris Elba has revealed his love for Ireland, plus his favourite place to visit when over.
The actor is currently promoting his new film The Dark Tower with Matthew McConaughey and both actors revealed they’d love to holiday here.
Idris has spent time in Ireland before due to race car driving and DJing.
“I want to come back to Dublin so bad,” he told RTE.
He added: “I want to go to that restaurant Johnny Foxes and have a nice warm Guinness.”
His co-star Matthew, who has Irish roots has often spoken about his love for Ireland and adds that he really wants to come back.
“Yeah I am going to come back. Right now I am going where my work takes me, thats really been our family vacations as well.
“I don’t remember the last time we took a vacation that was not work related. So hopefully a job will take me back there.”
He added: “I’ve got a lot of people that I haven’t seen there in a while, you know who you are.”
Matthew previously said he’d love to send his three children to the Gaeltacht to learn Irish.
“When they’re older, I want to send them to that Irish language summer camp you guys do,” he said.
“It’s like a rite of passage for you guys, isn’t it? When you’re teenagers. I want them fluent — which means I gotta do a crash course too.”
