Leinster and Ireland rugby player Ian Madigan has paid for two DCU students to go to France as part of a trip in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
The trip is part of the DCU “Beg, Borrow, Steal” initiative where students are told not to bring any money with them whatsoever, and rely only on the kindness of strangers to fund their travelling to Europe.
Ian reminded us once again why we love him so much by paying for students Emma and Glenn’s flights to Paris. In fact, he was more than happy to do it. What a nice guy!
Meanwhile, the sports star took to Instagram this week to show his support for and thank his fellow player Paul O’Connell as he was forced to retire from rugby due to injury earlier this week.
He captioned the photo “A true proud Irish-man. Thanks Paulie.”
