Vogue Williams has opened up about her new RTE documentary series, revealing that it was an eye opening experience, where she got the opportunity to met “some very inspiring people.”
The Dubliner has been shooting Vogue Williams On The Edge for the past number of weeks, and throughout the process, has heard some fascinating stories, which she can’t wait to share with the nation.
The documentary is split into four separate episodes, and each one tackles a different issue.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, Vogue said, “One episode is on transgender, one is called Addicted To Me so it’s all about body dysmorphia and body issues, another one is on addiction and the last one is all about trolling, revenge porn and online dangers.
“It was amazing to film and I learned so much. There were incredible stories and I met some very inspiring people. It was brilliant.”
She continued, “There’s so much that goes on that we don’t know about, particularly in the transgender episode. I don’t think a lot of people understand transgender issues. I’m a big supporter of the LGBT community and I didn’t even understand it that much. It was eye opening.”
The DJ worked across both Ireland and America to shoot the series, and revealed that while across the pond, she filmed a number of very memorable, and stand out scenes.
“There’s lots of differences between filming there and here. It’s a huge country. You’ve got these insane stories and there was a lot! Sure I met a man who gave birth to his own daughter over there. That will show you the level of what we got in America,” she said.
The new series starts this November on RTE 2.
