Louise Cantillon knows a thing or two about fashion.
So you know that she made a statement at this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards.
“This is a beautiful, beautiful, Helen Cody gúna,” she tells us as she shows off her style.
“She is my favourite ever Irish fashion designer; she made my wedding dress. This is one of her vintage pieces from 2006, and I feel very privileged to get to wear it. It feels like a piece of art.”
Between her weekday show on Today FM, her podcast, How To Gael, which she co-hosts with Síomha Ní Ruairc and Doireann Ní Ghlacáin, and working on TV, she’s kept busy!
“I am having a ball! It’s such a great complaint in this industry to be busy, so I never take that for granted. There are loads of exciting things happening between podcasting, radio and TV.
“I have loads of occasions for nice fancy dresses, so if anyone is listening who wants to lend me any, I am absolutely available to wear them,” she jokes showing off her dress again.
It’s been a big year for Louise and her husband, Declan Hannon, as the Limerick hurler announced his retirement from the sport.
“It has been great, I feel like we have this newfound freedom that we have never had before and honestly, we are giddy,” she gushes about this new stage of our life.
“We just went on a holiday to Italy in May and it felt almost illegal to be heading away at that time of the year. It’s been unreal. He is full-time in Dublin now as well, so we’re having a ball.”
And it’s not just flying around the world for Louise, she has some “exciting” announcements coming up.
“I am excited for a big TV announcement coming soon, loads of exciting podcasting bits you can see us on stage hopefully this summer and tune into Today FM every day.”
