Paula Callan launched her brand new beauty salon in Dublin 4 last night, and while it attracted such big names as Lottie Ryan, Samantha Mumba and Leigh Arnold, all eyes were on three particular mums-to-be!
Aoife Cogan, Sarah Morrissey and Karen Fitzpatrick – all either former models or Miss Irelands (in some cases both!) – turned up for the glamours event even though all three are soon expecting additions to their family in the next couple of months. For Aoife, it will be baby number two with her husband, rugby legend Gordon D’Arcy, having had their first child – baby girl Soleil – just a year ago.
Fellow former Miss Ireland Sarah Morrissey is expecting her first child with Pat Jennings Jnr, having tied the knot with the son of legendary Northern ireland soccer star Pat Jennings two years ago. And It is also a first baby for model Karen Fitzpatrick, who is due to have her and husband Eddie Hughes’ baby in October.
All three women were regulars on the Irish catwalk and photocell scene, though Aoife has hung up her stilettos to concentrate on motherhood and her fitness studio. Sarah and Karen, however, have been regulars on the modelling scene right up to the last few months. They were joined by fellow models Teodora Sutra, Ruth Griffin, Lynn Kelly and Irma Mali at the glamorous event.
