Last night saw TV presenter Gráinne Seoige and her professional dance partner, John Nolan as the latest couple to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.

The pair danced a cha-cha-cha to Dancing in the Street which scored them a 19 from the judges. Commenting on their performance Loraine said; “The hips, you know I’m always going to ask for more…to get a little bit more punch in that performance…” and Arthur said; “The key to a great cha-cha is being fun, flirty and full of energy, and you definitely had that tonight.”

Judge, Brian Redmond also loved their routine saying; “Tonight, the girl next door definitely came out to play – (it had) all of those characteristics that we want from cha-cha.”

Ultimately, this positive feedback was not enough to keep Gráinne and John in the competition, as they found themselves in the bottom two along with rugby star, Jordan Conroy. They ended up scoring the lowest points from the judges’ and public vote and the judges sent them home. Speaking about her experience on the show Gráinne said; “I’ve had the best time, you can’t even describe the experience of this show.”

Sharing an update to social media after the being sent home last night Gráinne paid tribute to her partner on the show; “Number 1 to @johnednolan it’s been an extraordinary privilege to have been paired with you. I never danced before and you brought me from waltz to cha cha with such good humour and patience – and you needed it!!!”

“We laughed a lot over the weeks and I’m proud to call you my friend.”

Continuing she added; “Everyone on the crew from stage to set, sound to lighting and graphics and floor manager extraordinaire incredible Sheila, Ireland is blessed with the talent in this industry. To all the pros it’s been such a pleasure to meet you all – I know this year is made even more special by two years of you being unable to express your artistic talent.”

“And to my fellow contestants- only you understand the sheer madness and joy that is this show. We have been brought together for an unforgettable time.”

“Love you all and see you for the final. Finally, I have had so much support from my family and friends to perfect strangers who sent messages and voted. The kind gestures, messages and votes really have really touched me.”
