It’s business before babies for Glenda Gilson, as she insists that herself and husband Rob have other priorities before starting a family.
The TV presenter and her husband Rob McNaughton tied the knot in August, and Glenda said they’re now busy focusing on their careers.
“I’ve been getting the baby question since the day after we got married and we’d love that, but Rob is trying to build his business and we just want to enjoy ourselves first,” Glenda told Evoke.ie.
“He’s been in construction all his life, from his father to his grandfather and he’s been out of it for about five years and now he’s back into it.”
She continued: “Things are happening again so hopefully, touch wood, he’ll be busy with that I’d like to be secure first and know what I want and whatever comes with it.”
The newlyweds were married last year in Co Clare, in Donald Trump’s Doonbeg retreat, and exclusively covered by VIP. The lavish affair welcomed a host of celebrity faces including Lisa Cannon, Louis Walsh, Liam Cunningham and Keith Duffy.
The Xpose beauty has also revealed that the couple needed a bit of time after their wedding to get their finances back in order.
“We’re now just trying to save and start again. It destroys you for a while, getting married,” she admitted.
The couple, who jetted off to Las Vegas, Mexico and Florida for their honeymoon, plan on celebrating their one-year anniversary in an equally special way.
“I can’t believe the year is nearly up,’ Glenda said, “Your relationship doesn’t really change, but you are solid and you feel closer.”
